The Financial Consumer Ombudsman is an institution providing special protection to financial consumers. As such, it will perform the functions established by law, independently of Pan American Life de Colombia Compañía de Seguros S.A. and its management bodies. It will act with independence with regard to its decisions in the performance of its duties.
Pan-American Life de Colombia, Compañía de Seguros S.A. has a Primary and an Alternate Financial Consumer Ombudsman, appointed by the Shareholders Meeting. The Financial Consumer Ombudsman acts as the voice of financial consumers. Objectively and free of charge for consumers, he rules on any complaints filed in accordance with the law, regarding the company’s possible violations of legal regulations, contractual obligations, or internal procedures governing the performance of insurance contracts, among other functions.
