Pan-American Life Insurance Group Names New Vice President Application Development and Infrastructure

NEW ORLEANS– November 26, 2018 – Pan-American Life Insurance Group (PALIG), a leading provider of insurance and financial services throughout the Americas, announced today that Mark Northrup has joined the company in the role of Vice President Application Development and Infrastructure.

In this newly created position, Mr. Northrup will be responsible for applications development, infrastructure support and operations, and systems development across PALIG’s global footprint. He will report to Scott Reitan, Senior Vice President - Administration and Information Technology.

“Mark’s role brings together the Development and Infrastructure functions under one group to better align with PALIG’s operating model,” said José S. Suquet, Chairman of the Board, President and CEO of Pan-American Life Insurance Group. “This change will allow us to improve information technology support for our Life and Health business lines and accommodate future growth while continuing to deliver excellent service to our producers and policyholders.”

Mr. Northrup, who was previously Chief Information Officer of Cleco LLC, has more than 20 years of global IT experience. He has held leadership positions with IBM, TDAmeritrade, PwC, and EY where his work required him to live and work in six different countries. He holds a Masters of Business Administration from State University of New York at Binghamton, a Masters Certificate in Project Management from George Washington University and a Japanese Management Degree from SANNO Institute of Management in Tokyo Japan.
