Ivan Vergara

Role & Responsibilities:
As Senior Vice President, Chief Technology Officer, Ivan is responsible for PALIG’s overall information technology strategy; including overseeing the business technology partners, enterprise architecture, infrastructure, digital experience, and data office. 

Career:
Ivan joined Pan-American Life in 2021.  He is a senior information technology leader with over 25 years of technology experience developing and implementing strategies in the financial services industry. Prior to joining Pan-American Life, Ivan served as Regional Advisory Director at PwC for the Interaméricas, where he led a multidisciplinary team of professionals to help clients achieve their digital transformations. Prior to his role with PwC, he served as the Chief Information Officer for Global Bank Corporation, where he was accountable for all technological capabilities and operations. In addition, he held senior leadership roles with Bladex and UBS in Information Security, Audit, and Architecture. 

Boards & Industry Associations: 
Ivan previously served as an active member of the Information Systems Audit and Control Association (ISACA), the Project Management Institute (PMI), the Thomas Jefferson Fellowship program, and the PHI THETA KAPPA international honor society.

Education:
Ivan earned his degree in Information Systems with an emphasis on Networks, Programmer and System Analysis from Saint Louis College, Missouri. He also holds CISA (Certified Information System Auditor) and CISM (Certified Information Security Management) certifications from ISACA.
